It's that time of year again, when the waterways of Beijing have frozen over and locals, never shy to exploit a public space, have started to test the ice.
Men, women, dogs, and from the tracks it looks like even cyclists have taken to the ice here at 亮马河 (shining horse river), on the northern edge of the embassy district.
